Redlining Heritage Trail Tour (in-person)

Though many believe Seattle as a liberal city, the history of redlining and the road towards open housing has been a long struggle. The history of redlining and the Civil Rights movement in Seattle is necessary as we continue to explore themes of gentrification and displacement as time goes on. Take a walk with us to hear the stories of home, and to celebrate BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities that are currently and were historically marginalized in Seattle.

This tour is 1.5-2 hours long, and approximately 1.0-1.75 miles.

Hometown Chinatown Tour (in-person)

Let's take a walk together to learn about the Chinatown International District's rich history that was paved by our Asian Pacific immigrant pioneers and how they made a home for themselves in Seattle. See what makes our neighborhood unique: taste the flavors and sip up some knowledge-- it has not always been an easy journey. Honor the history and take pride in our community's ongoing resiliency.

This tour is 1.5 hours long, and approximately 1.0-1.5 miles.

Tour is offered on Saturdays at 11:30am. If you are interested in organizing a private experience for a large group of 10 or more, please email tours@wingluke.org.
