Redlining Heritage Trail Tour (in-person)
Though many believe Seattle as a liberal city, the history of redlining and the road towards open housing has been a long struggle. The history of redlining and the Civil Rights movement in Seattle is necessary as we continue to explore themes of gentrification and displacement as time goes on. Take a walk with us to hear the stories of home, and to celebrate BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities that are currently and were historically marginalized in Seattle.
Tour is offered on select Saturdays at 11:30AM from April-June. If you are interested in organizing a private experience for a large group of 10 or more, please email tours@wingluke.org.
