Calling all Heroes!

Everyday Heroes…Step Up! The most consequential national and local election is just around the corner, and each of us has the chance to be a hero. Now is the time to step up and take part in the democratic process! On October 19, the Wing Luke Museum, Seattle Public Library system and the South Seattle Emerald, event sponsors, are hosting our We Can Be Heroes Voting Party -- and we hope you can join us. It’s free to the public.

We’ll help you register to vote, learn more about key ballot measures that impact you, and receive language translation support so that you can make the best choices this election cycle! There will be raffle prizes, giveaways and light refreshments, too.

Award-winning artist, Aram Han Sifuentes, who designed the iconic voting booth featured in the We Can Be Heroes: Voting and Beyond exhibit (which was designed by Summer Li), will be at the Voting Party, connecting with visitors and encouraging them to add to a collective voting artwork project she is developing. For more info on  Aram, visit here.

Afterward, attendees who register can view our exhibits, including We Can Be Heroes: Voting and Beyond.
