Beyond the Margins: Personal Stories from the Filipino American Community
Join us as we center personal experiences from local Filipino Americans whose stories are often underrepresented from traditional historical narratives.
Doors open at 11:15 AM.
ASL interpretation will be available.
Filipino American History Month is celebrated every October in the U.S. since it was officially recognized by Congress in 2009. The month of October was chosen because the first individuals from the Philippines arrived at what is now Morro Bay, California, aboard a Spanish galleon on October 18, 1587.
This is free program in our Community Hall (on the first floor). Light snacks will be provided.
Please reserve your tickets/seats by entering the amount below. Donations are appreciated and are for future support of on-going programming at the Wing Luke Museum.
